SJHL PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Matt Kinnunen, Melville Millionaires
1989 F Matt Kinnunen (Calgary AB) ended the regular season on a torrid goal scoring pace with 12-goals in 10-games. He finished up with 30-goals and 22-assists in 58-games. In the playoffs, he scored the overtime winning goal in game one of the Sherwood Conference Survivor Series against Yorkton.

SJHL DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH
Woody Klassen, Battlefords North Stars
1991 D Woody Klassen (Watrous SK) scored 5-goals and 6-assists in 10-games during the month of February to lead all SJHL blueliners as the Stars made a charge towards the first place Flin Flon Bombers. His biggest performance was on February 10th when he had a five point game against Melfort. For the season, he ended up with 11-goals and 25-assists in 48-games.

SJHL GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
Adam Bartko, La Ronge Ice Wolves
1990 G Adam Bartko (Battlefords SK) was red hot to end the regular season and even hotter to begin the playoffs. Bartko went 3-0, 1.91, .946 in 220 minutes played during the regular season in February. The month also included his first two starts of the playoffs, that resulted in a double overtime win in game two of the Bauer Conference Survivor Series against Humboldt (2-0, 1.62. .945). Bartko’s regular season line ends at 21-10-5, 2.93, .917.

SJHL ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Drew George, Weyburn Red Wings
1991 F Drew George (Regina SK) wins this award for the second straight month. In fact, George has really only been in the league for two months. He had 7-goals and 6-assists in 9-games played to finish the year with 27-points in 21-games. Despite his low game total, George is a finalist for the SJHL Rookie Of The Year.
